Drive Quick N Easy Comfort Mattress
Testing out this new daybed mattress with Freddie

Alright, so I’ve been buying everything off of Amazon for years now, but this week I ordered a bed frame, mattress, patio sofa cover, and some jeans, and it all showed up 2 days later. I don’t know why this is so amazing to me this week, but it is. In other news, the daybed dreams are moving right along. I’ll do a whole post on how it’s all coming together, so you’ll find out soon if I went with full ponies for the mattress.

More Fence Panels

Shadowbox Fence Panels

Along my driveway, there are three panels of chain link and half of a chainlink gate. Over the weekend I started gathering the materials to replace it with wood panels to match the rest of the fence. I’m using the same shadowbox fence panels that I got for the back fence, and will be building a custom gate so Freddie can run free in the backyard. The stained wood should look great against the fresh house paint! I’m documenting the house painting progress on our Instagram stories, follow along there!

The Keepers

and then we tried obsessions the keepers

If you loved the movie Spotlight, then this show is for you. It follows two former high school classmates—now in their 60s—as they try to solve the murder of Sister Cathy, a nun and one of their teachers. It involves Baltimore in the 1960s, the power of the Catholic Church, and a suspected link to a priest accused of abuse. All the episodes are out on Netflix.

Shore Society Cleveland Pennant

shore society cleveland pennant mini

I got this cute little Cleveland pennant from Shore Society and I can’t wait to find the perfect spot for it! I’d love to get the Lake Erie one too, but I’ll have to wait for it to come back in stock.

Rug Pillow

I finally finished this pillow for my new porch swing situation! I used a doormat from Home Goods (and of course I forgot to get the brand name before I stitched it up..) and filled it with batting. Here are some other cute ones if you want to make one yourself:

Attaching a wood fence to a chainlink fence

As I mentioned in my last fence/gate update post, I helped Erika attach a wood fence to the chainlink fence in her backyard. The process was similar to when I converted a chainlink fence to a wood fence, except in this case, we left the chainlink fence intact. This method is a good option if you want to add a little more privacy to your yard or camouflage a chainlink fence while you wait to save up for a completely new fence.

Obsessions: 10.19.18

You wanna know what we have been decidedly NOT obsessed with in the past month? The blog. Womp womp. We’re hopping back in this week, but we’ll be posting a bit more sporadically for a while. Here’s hoping you all loved getting caught up on Michelle’s driveway gate plans yesterday. See what else we’ve been obsessed with in this week’s And Then We Tried Obsessions.

Fence Updates and Two-Panel Wood Driveway Gate Plans

Hellooooo, I’m thinking about fences again! You all had the pleasure of following along as I moved and rebuilt the fence in my backyard and then converted a chainlink fence into a wood fence along my driveway, and now it’s finally time to build that driveway gate. Of course, I can’t just build a driveway gate and leave it at that, I’ve also decided to cap the entire fence to cover up the dogear pickets and give everything a cleaner and more finished look. HOORAY!
