I survived skiing this weekend! I went skiing for the third time in my life and managed to not die, so now I get to embark on the best part of any new hobby, shopping for all the gear. For this trip, I borrowed Hannah’s ski jacket, pants, gloves, goggles, socks, clothes, literally all of it, and now that I think I want to ski again, I should buy my own jacket. Bonus, if I don’t have to borrow Hannah’s jacket, that means she can also come skiing and we CAN BE SKI-FRIENDS. Amazing. Here’s everything I’m looking at for my new ski wardrobe, please chime in in the comments with your recommendations because I’m basing this all purely on aesthetics.

Kristin Ess Rose Gold Temporary Tint Review
As I mentioned in our Spring Fashion Wishlist, I’ve had my eye on the Rose Gold Temporary Tint from Kristin Ess for spring. What better way to celebrate sunshine and rosé season than with rose gold hair? As a preemptive strike (and in the name of journalism, obviously) I recently gave the hair tint a spin. So, here’s my Kristin Ess Rose Gold Temporary Tint review, complete with terrible bathroom selfies. Let’s get into it.

Logically, we know it’s too soon to get excited about spring. At least here in Cleveland, we definitely still have snow in the near future. But with March kicking off tomorrow and a handful of recent warm days, we’re dreaming of what we’re going to be wearing once the weather warms up for good.
Keep ReadingSave or Splurge: Universal Thread vs. Madewell
Target has done it again. It wasn’t enough that they were taking all our money with their Hearth and Hand collection or their Joy Lab althleisure brand we were loving last fall. Now with their newest line, Universal Thread they are diversifying their fashion with a denim focused line that we are loving. Looking through the collection, I knew I liked pieces and that some looked oddly familiar. And then I realized why I like it so much; because they look just like my second favorite store, Madewell. So similar in fact, many of the pieces are almost exact replicas. We’ve rounded up our favorite Madewell inspired looks from the Universal Thread collection and ask should we save or splurge?
Keep ReadingMy Skincare Routine: From a Wannabe Dermatologist
It’s been a year and a half since I started seriously whipping my skincare routine into shape. I read every article I could find, listened to this amazing podcast, went off dairy for months, tried more products than I care to remember, and finally visited a real dermatologist. Am I finally doing it right? For today, yes. And as my dermatologist reminded me, it’s all trial and error. So in a way we’re all wanna be dermatologists testing out products and ultimately seeing how our skin reacts.
And you know what? For me, I think it all comes down to routine. Letting the products do what they are made to do and sticking with it long enough to actually see results. Follow along to the key to my skincare routine, consistency and experimentation.
Keep ReadingOne Woman’s Quest for the Whitest Teeth Ever, A Smile Brilliant Review + Giveaway
I have been whitening my teeth sporadically (just doing a few days of white strips whenever I thought my teeth were starting to look yellow) for the past decade using Crest Whitestrips but have never been blown away by their effectiveness or ease of use. Unless you level up to the most expensive version, the strips slip around on your teeth and somehow my fingers always ended up bleached white from trying to align the strips to my teeth. So when I heard about Smile Brilliant and their custom whitening trays, my inner teeth whitening addict was intrigued. Read on to see me drool all over my kitchen and get my full Smile Brilliant review.

Keep ReadingLittle Black Dresses + a Rent the Runway Referral Code for $30 off
I have a gala to attend in February and like any good debt monster, I want a new dress. So, time to get busy with my favorite hobby: online shopping for literally anything. The event dress code is cocktail to formal and based on press photo stalking from last year’s gala, pretty much everyone was in cocktail dresses. I don’t love rewearing clothes to events that I’ll potentially be photographed at (diva status here) so I thought Rent the Runway would be a good option here. I’m a generous diva though, and there’s point in keeping all my hard work to myself, so here are my favorite Rent the Runway little black dresses.
