Michelle and Hannah are still going strong on the Whole30 and Robin is testing out the Glossier supers. See everything we’re loving in this week’s And Then We Tried obsessions.

Sugar Mamas/Daddies/Babies

arrangement.com sugar baby dating

So I’m pretty sure Refinery29 is Arrangement.com‘s new sugar baby based on all the posts clearly sponsored by them. But, even so, I’m obsessed with learning everything about sugar babies. All the articles feature people in LA or NY or SF, but I’m sure there are people all over the country trying to “spoil” people by being a sugar daddy. Have you heard about this?

Total Home Organization

Broyhill Emphasis Hutch

I don’t know if I have more energy from the Whole30 or if I’m just finally getting annoyed at the piles of trash I have stacked up in every room in my house, but I can’t stop organizing. I started in the bathroom and threw out a huge bag of old expired potions and products and am still struggling with how to organize everything on my very deep shelves. Next, I moved to the office and got a new (way old) Broyhill Emphasis hutch to store all my craft supplies. If you follow along on instastories you saw me try to organize that last night. Let me know if you have any organizing tips! Hannah suggested a tiered spice rack thing for my paints, so I’ll be looking into that!

White Wood Siding Houses

white wood siding houses

After a recent trip to Nashville, I have been obsessing about all the cute white wood siding houses I saw there. Never thought of myself as a white, farmhouse-esque person but I’m totally in. Can’t get enough.

Glossier Supers

glossier supers

You know we love Glossier around here. After great success with Super Bounce I took the plunge and got the whole set. Jury is still out the others—I have to use them for more than a couple days—but so far also loving the Super Pure. Full review to come soon!

Whole30 Update

This week started strong for the Whole30. I did some meal prepping and was thinking that maybe I was doing it wrong because this was all so…easy? I came down with a cold later in the week and that tipped me back towards struggling because all I wanted was carbs. But, I stayed strong and lived to see another day. Good news though: I found a bomb ass pad thai recipe that I will continue to make post-Whole30. Check it out here (it calls for spaghetti squash but I used sweet potato noodles). I made it for my dad and Zac, neither of whom are doing Whole30, and both of them loved it.

Manhunt: Unabomber

manhunt unabomber true crime

The aforementioned cold kept me home from work one day this week and I spent most of the day powering through the Discovery series Manhunt: Unabomber on Netflix. It was pretty interesting but I had some questions. First, they make it seem like literally one dude solved the entire case which can’t possibly be true. Second, it was SUPER sympathetic towards Ted Kaczynski. I always find it interesting to see what happened in a murderer’s life to make them the way that they are, and this series definitely shed some light on the traumatic incidents in his past. But the more I watched the more I felt bad for him when he had needlessly mauled and murdered a bunch of people. I don’t know, I was torn. If you like true crime, give it a watch and see for yourself.

Attaching a wood fence to a chainlink fence

As I mentioned in my last fence/gate update post, I helped Erika attach a wood fence to the chainlink fence in her backyard. The process was similar to when I converted a chainlink fence to a wood fence, except in this case, we left the chainlink fence intact. This method is a good option if you want to add a little more privacy to your yard or camouflage a chainlink fence while you wait to save up for a completely new fence.

Obsessions: 10.19.18

You wanna know what we have been decidedly NOT obsessed with in the past month? The blog. Womp womp. We’re hopping back in this week, but we’ll be posting a bit more sporadically for a while. Here’s hoping you all loved getting caught up on Michelle’s driveway gate plans yesterday. See what else we’ve been obsessed with in this week’s And Then We Tried Obsessions.

Fence Updates and Two-Panel Wood Driveway Gate Plans

Hellooooo, I’m thinking about fences again! You all had the pleasure of following along as I moved and rebuilt the fence in my backyard and then converted a chainlink fence into a wood fence along my driveway, and now it’s finally time to build that driveway gate. Of course, I can’t just build a driveway gate and leave it at that, I’ve also decided to cap the entire fence to cover up the dogear pickets and give everything a cleaner and more finished look. HOORAY!
