Our Favorites from Target’s Joy Lab Athleisure Collection

Here at And Then We Tried, we love any outfit that’s comfy while also being cute— example A, our favorite leisurée brand. So thank god for the athleisure trend that has been taking over. And while we still love Outdoor Voices or Lululemon, when Target jumped on the bandwagon with their Joy Lab collection we were more than happy to scoop up some cute pieces on a budget. To celebrate another great line from Target, we’ve rounded up our favorites from their Joy Lab collection.

 target joy lab roundup

1. Moto Jacket

How cute is this moto jacket? Way to say I’m a bad ass before even picking up any weights at the gym.

2. Asymmetrical Bra

Is it just me or are we suddenly expected to have a whole matching workout outfit nowadays? Love that this bra plus the color block leggings come in at $50 for both pieces.

3. V-Neck Mesh Bra

Easy way to dress up a regular sports bra? Add a little mesh. Pair with the mesh panel leggings. Done.

4. Wrap T-Shirt

As someone who took ballet classes as a kid, this shirt looks like grown-up nostalgia. Plus who didn’t dream that they would secretly grow up to be a ballerina?

5. Strappy Back Bra

Abstract floral print will hide any sweat stains plus the strappy back dresses up a simple sports bra.

6. High Waist Leggings

Who can’t use another pair of great leggings? And high waisted? Sign me up for two.

7. Mini Stripe Long Line Bra and Mini Stripe Leggings

This long line bra was the first piece I scooped up from the collection. Super comfortable and looks just as good working around the house as it does at the gym. Pair with the Mini Stripe Leggings and you have another outfit to impress.

8. Mesh Panel Leggings

This red color is giving me serious power suit vibes. Nothing like feeling confident before even getting on the treadmill.

9. Dance Body Suit

Feels like Flash Dance and loving the idea that leotards may be coming back in fashion.

10. Color Block Leggings

The colors in this set are on point and the asymmetrical features are flattering on everyone. Go get these now.

11. Cozy Layering Sweatshirt

Picked this up in black and it is so comfortable. In the last week, I’ve already worn it running errands, one day at the office, and one day flying back from Portland. I foresee this piece getting a lot of use.

What do you guys think? Any favorites from the line? And if you love Target collaborations as much as we do, check out their new furniture line Project 62 and all our top picks.

Attaching a wood fence to a chainlink fence

As I mentioned in my last fence/gate update post, I helped Erika attach a wood fence to the chainlink fence in her backyard. The process was similar to when I converted a chainlink fence to a wood fence, except in this case, we left the chainlink fence intact. This method is a good option if you want to add a little more privacy to your yard or camouflage a chainlink fence while you wait to save up for a completely new fence.

Obsessions: 10.19.18

You wanna know what we have been decidedly NOT obsessed with in the past month? The blog. Womp womp. We’re hopping back in this week, but we’ll be posting a bit more sporadically for a while. Here’s hoping you all loved getting caught up on Michelle’s driveway gate plans yesterday. See what else we’ve been obsessed with in this week’s And Then We Tried Obsessions.

Fence Updates and Two-Panel Wood Driveway Gate Plans

Hellooooo, I’m thinking about fences again! You all had the pleasure of following along as I moved and rebuilt the fence in my backyard and then converted a chainlink fence into a wood fence along my driveway, and now it’s finally time to build that driveway gate. Of course, I can’t just build a driveway gate and leave it at that, I’ve also decided to cap the entire fence to cover up the dogear pickets and give everything a cleaner and more finished look. HOORAY!
