Cleveland got some snow this week and we’re fine with it as long as it all melts and goes away after Christmas. Do you have all of your shopping done? We’ve been all over the internet lately, so here’s what we’re obsessed with in this week’s And Then We Tried obsessions.

Michelle

Casa Carlota

I signed up for the Jocelyn K. Glei newsletter this week after seeing friend-of-the-blog Liz share it on Facebook. Already obsessed with the newsletter because it introduced me to this amazing design studio in Barcelona and this short film:

I love how creative and expressive all of the work is. Also thanks to Joan I have Yellow Submarine stuck in my head. Usually, its stuck in my head because of my boss who whistles it every. single. day. But he has been out of the office for the last two days. SO THANKS, JOAN.

Bad Bitch Scarf

bad bitch scarf

Perfect for days when you’re feeling extra sassy. Plus the best part of designing has to be seeing what you’ve done come to life. How cool is it that this scarf we designed can be worn by bad bitches everywhere.

Vanderpump Rules

vanderpump rules obsession

My favorite trashy tv is back! Like all reality tv, I don’t know why I like watching these people’s lives but six seasons later and I’m still hooked. However, I do appreciate that they still pretend to wait tables at SUR since they for sure have that tv-money by now.

Also seriously considering getting this haircut to match one of the stars.

My Spotify End of the Year Review

spotify end of the year obsessions

I always find it so interesting to see end of the year roundups and Spotify did a great job this year. Not only do they tell you which artists and songs you listened to the most, they give you some new playlists too! I’ve been listening to my Top 100 and The Ones That Got Away playlists all week. (Also surprised I listened to almost two weeks’ worth of music, considering I’m pretty sure I was listening to My Favorite Murder at least a few hours a week.)

HQ Trivia

Is anyone else playing this live trivia game? Twice a day you go into the app and participate in 12 trivia questions alongside hundreds of thousands of other players to win real money. You only get the cash if you make it to the end though and I’ve only made it about halfway. Have any of you guys won anything yet? If you aren’t playing yet, sign up using my referral code “hannahrosk”! (Not 100% sure what the benefits of using the referral code are, FYI. I think either you or I would get a free life.)

This has been another week of And Then We Tried Obsessions, where we share whatever we’re obsessed with each week. Attaching a wood fence to a chainlink fence

As I mentioned in my last fence/gate update post, I helped Erika attach a wood fence to the chainlink fence in her backyard. The process was similar to when I converted a chainlink fence to a wood fence, except in this case, we left the chainlink fence intact. This method is a good option if you want to add a little more privacy to your yard or camouflage a chainlink fence while you wait to save up for a completely new fence.

Obsessions: 10.19.18

You wanna know what we have been decidedly NOT obsessed with in the past month? The blog. Womp womp. We’re hopping back in this week, but we’ll be posting a bit more sporadically for a while. Here’s hoping you all loved getting caught up on Michelle’s driveway gate plans yesterday. See what else we’ve been obsessed with in this week’s And Then We Tried Obsessions.

Fence Updates and Two-Panel Wood Driveway Gate Plans

Hellooooo, I’m thinking about fences again! You all had the pleasure of following along as I moved and rebuilt the fence in my backyard and then converted a chainlink fence into a wood fence along my driveway, and now it’s finally time to build that driveway gate. Of course, I can’t just build a driveway gate and leave it at that, I’ve also decided to cap the entire fence to cover up the dogear pickets and give everything a cleaner and more finished look. HOORAY!
