The first thing to wrangle when looking for fancy sheets is the difference between sateen and percale. Before my search for sheets I had never even heard of percale or sateen but they are two different types of cotton weave which leave the sheets with distinct appearances and texture. Sateen has an more luxe feel however is less durable and can be too warm for summer nights. Percale is a better year round sheet because of it’s breathability however is not as soft and more prone to wrinkles. So take a look at your sleeping habits and lifestyle and pick which work best for you.
